USA Work Visa for Exceptional Ability Holders

USA, being super power, have extensive opportunities for skilled people from all over the world. Each year thousands of professionals and other skilled personnels choose USA to earn their livelihood. USA market is versatile and have capacity to accommodate people of all aptitudes. Most of the USA skilled visas need you to have a job offer from a USA employer. This is the same kind of visa. It is further divided into three (3) categories. Detail of all three categories is given here under.
1. Skilled Workers
Applicant under this category must hold a permanent and full time job offer from USA employer. Job must be paid. Skilled worker are also required to have at least two (2) years professional training or work experience in the same field in which they hold job offer. Occupation and job nature should be such in which suitable workers are not available with in USA.
2. Professionals
This category also require permanent, full time and paid job offer from USA. However academic/professional qualification upto at least baccalaureate degree or equivalent and work experience is compulsory for applicant applying this visa.
3. Other Workers
This category requires less than two (2) years work experience in any working field. Applications for this visa usually takes long time. Full time, paid and permanent job offer is compulsory to apply.
How to apply?
Process for this visa category is initiated by the USA employer. Your employer first file a Form I-140 with USA immigration department for you. This is one kind of sponsorship process. Once his I
– 140 form is approved, he will send you a copy and you apply to your nearest US embassy. To apply for your work permit, your employer must prove to immigration authorities that he has enough resources to pay your annual wages. To prove his eligibility, he may use all or some of these documents;
  • an annual report
  • federal income tax return, or
  • audited financial statement.

Where to apply?
First of all your employer should file I-140 form for your employmenthere. Once it is approved, final visa applications are made at nearest US embassy.
